Burn Fat

How long will it take to burn fat running?
If i run for 3 days a week every week for about 40 minutes, how long will it take for me to burn off my fat. I have a little less than 1/2 an inch on my stomach that I want to burn off. Thanks!
Well, if you’re running that much, you’re probably burning some fat, but it may take a lot of time.
People often believe that they need to burn fat during the exercise. I’ve gotta tell you, the amount of fat you burn during your runs is pretty small. Most of the fat loss will come gradually as a result of caloric deficit so obviously you have to pay attention to what you’re eating. Raw fruit and vegetables (lots of it) should be the basis of your nutrition.
Strength training (with or without weights) would help a lot. If you throw in some strength training on those days when you’re not running, for example, they would burn even more calories, boost your metabolism even more and stimulate muscle growth.
I mean, running alone won’t stimulate muscle growth. You’ll Lose Fat, but you’ll also lose muscle so may end up with a skinny-fat look.
It doesn’t have to be anything special: some push ups, pull ups, squats, abs etc in a 30 min session.
So you’ll need three things, proper nutrition, strength training and cardio (which you’re already doing). If you do that you’ll see some results in less than a month probably.
